Cornerstone Cottage - 28B Smillie Street

Was a great place to stay with our friends 4 energetic teenagers. Old time charm in historic part of Robe.

Great location, good set up within the cottage, it had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable as were the seats & couch's in the sitting room, the dining room & the outdoor area. It was great that I could take my Jack Russell too: 4 stars.
The only issue we had was the cleanliness, I would rate it 2 stars for that. Hopefully it will get better.

Family Summer get away

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Corner Stone Cottage, Robe. A perfect location as we could walk everywhere we wanted to go.
The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and very well appointed.
Would highly recommend.

We had some issues with cleanliness but the property management company were excellent to deal with and appreciative of the feedback.
A 3 star property in a 5 star location.

The location is fantastic, we could wander around town on foot at the drop of a hat, but it isn't notably noisy. The online entry reflected the reality well. The courtyard is not huge (pictures show that). There is a small stable slot for car parking which offers shade for most of the car.

The cottage is in a complex of buildings dating from the old Criterion Temperance Hotel and so it has quirks of layout but overall it is spacious and comfortable. What is might lack in glitz and spa baths it makes up for with character, insulation and a log fire. The main trade-off is the lack of a great view.

The place is tidy and the beds are comfortable - we slept well. Kitchen is quite well supplied and as I carry a 'larder' I didn't care that there is no condiments or cafe supplied. Nice local bathroom soapy stuff.

The staff were responsive and polite, no issues there.

Old stone cottage in great location. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Pretty basic kitchen and bathroom but serviceable for a vacation.
Amazing really given the old age of the cottage.

The managing staff was very helpful and quick to respond. The advert showed Queen bed - it was a double - house has no air conditioning, no wifi, one fan, and ill-fitting insect screens - not enjoyable at 35+deg

Superbly located near the waterfront and in the middle of the charming historic precinct of Robe, we found 'Cornerstone Cottage' an excellent base from which to explore the region.

A lovely little cottage in Robe. Perfectly located near the shops and eateries. Loved its old world charm, and the courtyard was a bonus when the sun came out.

Comfortable stay in great central location.

Just over the road from the main beach and main street, my partner and I were really impressed with this charming cottage. The weather was cold and wild and the fire place was perfect. The outside area for our two dogs was well protected with high fences and undercover area to have their crates setup for the stay. Highly recommended! We'll be back again :) ps. Do yourself and favour and make a stop in Coonawarra for the wine - Majella was a favourite

Neat and cozy, perfect for a few days away

Courtyard was great for our dog. Comfy living area and we enjoyed the fun art on the walls in an old Robe cottage.

This cottage is well located with a glimpse of the seafront. It exudes history and we appreciated the ambience created by the period furniture items. We had a very relaxing stay here, but would have liked more dishwashing materials and some lighter bedding options for warm weather

Great location and very spacious . I wouldnt recommend for elderly as we were unaware stairs from the kitchen up to the only bathroom and toilet .

Basic, comfortable accommodation. Kitchen small but well equipped. The knife’s need replacing, they are blunt. The courtyard needs a tidy and good drink.

Enjoyed another stay in comfort. Sitting room has a great vibe at night with the wood heater going. Enjoyed the courtyard in the sun and out of the wind.b

Cornerstone Cottage was perfect for our weekend away! The cottage itself was cozy and tidy and in a great location being only a short walk away to the Main Street. We will be recommending this place to all of our family and friends

Lovely cottage, great to be amongst the historic part of Robe, a kitchen with everything, very warm and cosy fire with wood provided, fantastic location with a walk to everything. We had our toddler stay with us and it was great for kids with highchair, kids books and a large lounge room, and courtyard which is beautiful and sunny on a nice day. 5 stars, would stay again

We stayed here in June and expected to be cold. The cottage was warm and cozy with combustion heater and electric blankets. Good kitchen Great position with only a short walk to shops, coffee and the beach

Very cute cottage with lots of character. Very close to beach and main street. It was relatively clean but we had to make our own bed which I thought was odd. There was also no water in the water filter, so had to go and buy our own as the town water is not very nice.

This lovely old cottage was a stroll to the beach, shops,pubs and restaurants. The property manager was very helpful and provided a prompt response to any queries. It was cool and restful with good indoor outdoor flow and a nice seating area in the courtyard.
